An 5* outdoor classroom for children

Our students at The Learning Hub, Imizamo Yethu in Hout Bay have been blessed with a five star garden fit for royalty!

Thanks to our incredible donors, learners can now play and learn outside in all weathers. A mixture of local fynbos, grass and astro turf were used to ensure use in all seasons.

New features include a veggie garden, a new jungle gym (now making it 3 jungle gyms total!), a shaded outdoor classroom area, a basketball 3x3 court and soccer goals were installed over the course of July and August 2024.

Thanks to our Mandela Day initiative, the outdoor mud kitchen and pretend workbench now find themselves in a garden just bursting with learning and discovery.

The children have already begun making themselves at home.
